Canon EF 70-200mm 1:2.8 L IS USM: First Hands-on Impression 爱死小白初体验
I rented this from Light&Byte. Have to pay for only one day (32 CHF for rent and 12 for insurance) over the weekend. Sounds like a good deal.
I wanted to test it mostly to see if I can actually wield it — 1.5 kg doesn’t sound something my little non-iron arms enjoy. The weight is the second doubt to the price I have that is holding me from buying one. That it’s already hurting my shoulder in my bag when I brought it back from the shop was giving me the first hint about the mass.
Alright. It’s such a well-known lens that I’m not going to waste too many words on how awesome and sturdy it is. The bokeh is just beautiful. I really need to get myself a fast lens — but not this one. This one is just too heavy for me. I can hardly get a steady shot in shade even with IS — or maybe it’s just bad idea to try to chase bees the first second having this big baby in my hands.
Gonna make good use of it this weekend.
